Prima
del restauro |
giovane fanciullo scomparso prematuramente, fu scolpito da Pio Fedi
nel 1867. L’opera è costituita da una colonna sulla quale poggia
il busto raffigurante un giovane fanciullo. Alla base è presente una
lapide in marmo con incisa una epigrafe che dimostra il dolore da
parte dei genitori per la scomparsa prematura del loro amato figlio.
Sul retro del busto si trova la firma dello scultore.
DI CONSERVAZIONE
In conformità al lessico del Normal-1/88,
relativo alle «Alterazioni Microscopiche Materiale Lapideo», è
stato possibile definire con precisione lo stato di conservazione
dell’opera evidenziando le varie forme di degrado: consistente
patina biologica, degrado differenziale, erosione, alterazione
cromatica, fessurazione e fratturazione della lapide terragna con
conseguente dislocamento.

little sepulcher it is dedicated to a young child who suffered a
premature death. The monument consists of a column on which rests the
torso of the deceased. The signature of the sculptor can be found on
the back of the torso. On the base is set a tombstone with an
epigraph which explain grief of the
family for
the beloved child prematurely lost.
of conservation
accordance with the
lexicon
of the Normal 1/88’, regarding <<Microscopic
alterations of stone materials>> it was possible to define with
precision the state of conservation of the monument. Different forms
of degradation have been indicated: consistent
biological patinas, differential degradation, erosion, chromatic
alteration, cracks and fracturing with consequential displacement of
the tombstone on the ground.
intervention
Graphic and Photographic documentation of the different phases of
restoration.
– Accurate dusting with soft bristles brushes to remove the
inconsistent deposits.
– Suitable Biocide treatment and following rinse after the
specified time.
– Mechanical removal of lichens and algae.
– Cleaning tests on less visible parts of the monument.
– Cleaning
intervention with water solution with sodium hypochlorite and
Japanese paper with different pose’ times.
– Siloxane Protective treatment of the
surface with 5% of anti algae.
– Grouting of superficial lacunas with marble powder and acrylic
micro-emulsion.
