Program of the next Open air museum event in Milan

Monumental Cemetery of Milan, Italy
On Sunday, 30th September 2018, enjoy a day of theatre, music, cinema and guided tours at the Monumental Cemetery of Milan.


From 9.45 till the end of the day

  • Thematic walks in the company of protagonists of today’s Milan (“Milano di oggi”).
  • Guided tours by volunteers from the Civil Service and from the staff of the Monumental Cemetery.

The walks and guided tours will take place at the cemetery, starting at the external square. They will be free and can be booked at the gazebo starting at 9.30 and up to the maximum number of people provided for groups. Only one visit can be booked by one person.

From 10.00 till the end of the day

Projections of short films by the students of the Civic School of Cinema Luchino Visconti will take place in the conference room.

At 10.30 and 16.00

A short theatrical play entitled “Il Sarchiapone d’oro – l’eterna risata di Walter Chiari” by Luca Rodella will take place at the lower east gallery [C-D].

At 12.00 and 15.00

A short theatrical play entitled “Aspettando i limoni – l’ultimo concerto degli Jaga Brothers” by Luca Rodella will take place at the upper west gallery [C-F].

At 12.30

A concert of ancient music entitled “Una storia di trascrizioni” will take place at the chapel.
Performing: Antonio Di Donna (flute) and Gianmarco Frau (guitar).

At 17.00

A concert by “Hip Bop Trio” will take place at the inner courtyard.
Performing: Lorenzo Barcella (guitar), Francesco Marchetti (double-bass) and Fabio Danusso (drum)
